The Courtyard promotes local produce ranging from sausages to bespoke furniture as well as selling woollen clothing manufactured in Yorkshire! The development is responsible for the creation of 35 jobs locally and in the eyes of CPRE Craven, endorses and enhances all that good about the Dales with a particular emphasis on sheep!
Sir Peter Waine National CPRE Chairman visited the area to present the award to Mark Hancock and Simon Robinson, owners of the development. Sir Peter was taken on a whistle stop tour of the area to illustrate the the good and the bad! The day ended with tea at the Coniston Hotel, a remarkable local success story. 90 percent of the hotel’s workforce come from within 5 miles of the hotel.
