If you are a local resident and have specific points regarding this appraisal that you wish CPRE to be aware of, please write to cprecraven@me.com and mark your correspondence Dalton Conservation Area.  We have our over view but feel that local input ie those who actually live in Dalton should be considered.  A conservation area is a place where the Local authority has a duty to protect and enhance the character and appearance.

There are 8000 conservation areas within England, they are a valuable assett and should be carefully maintained.  Let us know your views
