Lord Crathorne the President of the North Yorkshire CPRE group introduced the meeting.
Following the formalities an interesting presentation entitled 'The Changing Forest' was given by Brian Walker, a retired Forestry Commission worker, who explained how forests are being modified to respect the past, present and future needs of people and the environment.
