CPRE objected strongly to this application, supporting the local parish council and residents. The village have organised a meeting to discuss the appeal - we continue to support them and will make representation at the appeal.
The appeal is in the 'written form' however, Planning Inspectors ensure that all those wishing to speak have the chance and whilst the meetings are more informal, local people do usually get the time to air their concerns. If you have anything to say regarding Madge Bank then now is your chance.
The main concerns are the fact that this site is within the conservation area, that access is a total nightmare and that a preferred site has been identified within Cononley that would permit the village to deliver its housing quota.
The appeal reference is APP/C2708/W/15/3132932, for further information contact either Cononley Parish Council or cprecraven@me.com.
