Team 2 of the litter pick in Craven Team 2 of the litter pick in Craven J Marley

Team 2 in action at the entrance to Skipton by Keelham Farm Shop.

Team 1 were operating towards the town centre.  Why do people feel it is OK to throw rubbish in fields at the side of the road?  What do they think happens to that rubbish or is it that they just don't think?  Last year volunteers cleared the two small paddocks at the side of the road.  This year - it looks as though we were never there!  The main culprits were without doubt Burger King cups, tomato ketchup sachets, sports drink bottles, red bull cans and even a sustainable reusable bag from Keelham Farm Shop along with for sale signs, supermarket carrier bags, beer cans and of course, sweet and chocolate wrappers.  If every one took just one hour per week to walk outdoors and pick up the rubbish the lazy people like to throw, we could make such a difference...CPRE STOPPING THE DROP!
