Monday, 29 January 2018 10:58

Up date - August 2018!!!

The application was refused by Craven District Planners

In Ingleton the application to build on the greenfields  accessed from Back Gate next to Spring Cottage has emerged once again

Application 2018/188891/FUL (relating to application 45/2015/16500) has been validated by CDC is is currently out for consultation.

Local people are contacting CPRE North Yorkshire (CPRENY) expressing concerns regarding this latest attempt to build on green field in Ingleton.  CPRENY are listing the concerns and investigating the application.  We will comment once we have researched all the facts and will use material planning considerations only in our response.

We have concerns regarding theimpact of this proposal on the conservation area and need to investigate the blocking and unauthorised diversion of the footpath.

A local council said,  in relation to a smaller application (4 houses)

"I'm supportive of houses being built in the

right places, but I think the time has come in

Ingleton that we are saturated with houses. We

have reached the point where houses are no

longer selling. There is a need for small houses

for rent, but these cannot be described as

houses for rent. I honestly believe we have

reached the point in Ingleton where enough is

enough."
